Former student assumes duties as dean of Faculty of Education
Xitao Fan, a College of Education and Human Development Ph.D. alumnus, was recently appointed dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Macau in China.
Fan, a world-renowned scholar, educator and chair professor at the University of Macau, received his doctorate in educational psychology, with a specialization in research, measurement and statistics, from Texas A&M University in 1993.
Prior to his current position at the University of Macau, Fan served as a faculty member at Utah State University and the University of Virginia. He has also been involved in numerous grants funded by federal agencies and currently serves as the editor of Educational and Psychological Measurement.
