About Us
The Educational Research and Evaluation Laboratory (EREL) features 10 computers with select statistical software — Mplus, RStudio, SPSS, and Stata — available for use, in addition to three machines reserved for Research, Measurement, and Statistics faculty and graduate student use. We also offer consultation on:
- Quantitative research questions
- Statistical analyses
- Statistical software and computer code

Lab Graduate Student Assistants
Olukayode Apata
apata.olukayode@tamu.edu
Olukayode Apata is a third-year Ph.D. student in Research, Measurement, and Statistics, at Texas A&M University. He has a master’s degree in educational studies at the University of Southern Mississippi. He also received another master’s degree in educational evaluation from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He has a bachelor’s degree in physics education at Adekunle Ajasin University, Nigeria. His research interests are Artificial Intelligence in education and STEM education research.
Lu Chen

Lu Chen is a doctoral student in Educational Psychology with a focus on Research, Measurement, and Statistics. Lu’s primary research interests include longitudinal studies and multilevel modeling.
Naike Wang

Naike Wang is a PhD Candidate in the Educational Psychology Program (Research, Measurement, and Statistics). He specializes in meta-analysis and Bayesian statistics.
Xiaoyu Yang

Xiaoyu Yang is currently a second-year doctoral student in the Research, measurement, and Statistics program. My primary research interests focus on the development and application of advanced statistical techniques, particularly multilevel structural equation modeling, cross-lagged panel models, and the evaluation of model fit indices within SEM frameworks.

Software Access
Remote access to many software programs is available through the Virtual Open Access Lab (VOAL). Both quantitative software (e.g., JMO, SAS, SPSS, Stata) and qualitative software (e.g., Atlas. ti) are included.
