Sarah is a special education major focusing in the preschool program for children with disabilities. Student teaching has been one of the best experiences of Sarah's life. She has accumulated over 1000 hours of experience in public schools.
Her junior and senior block classes at Texas A&M taught her not only about school, but about life. She says that she wouldn't be here today if it weren't for the patience, expertise, and willingness of her mentor and other educators in her field.
Sarah plans to move back to her hometown of Houston, Texas, where she will work for the Houston Independent School District. She has made the Dean's List every semester, and was awarded the Phi Eta Sigma Outstanding Junior Award and Scholarship for 2006-07. She will treasure her friends-which include her peers, advisors, and school teachers-that she's made during her college career.
Sarah is graduating summa cum laude with a GPR of 3.968.
