Retirement Reception Planned For William Nash Tuesday

William R. Nash, professor of learning sciences in the Department of Educational Psychology and director of the Institute for Gifted and Talented, will be honored for his 36 years of service to Texas A&M at a retirement celebration from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday (April 29) in 804 Harrington Tower. Remarks will begin promptly at 4 p.m. 

Nash began his professional career as an English teacher in Jacksonville, Fla., in 1965. He came to Texas A&M in 1972 as an assistant professor of educational psychology and founded the Institute for Gifted and Talented in 1980. He has received numerous awards and distinctions during his time at Texas A&M, most recently being awarded the 2007 College of Education and Human Development Extraordinary Service Award.
