 FIELD EXPERIENCES

The School Psychology program at Texas A&M has a strong commitment to integrating field-based experiences with didactic training. Beginning in the first year, students are assigned to various public schools to complete course assignments in the field. This practice is continued in the second year both through coursework and the therapy practicum. Public schools generally serve as the setting for the third year practicum. Students also have the opportunity to work in the Counseling and Assessment Clinic operated on campus by the Department of Educational Psychology or at the Community Health Center in near-by Bryan.
