Associate Professor, has a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina (1991). Teaches computer graphics and instructional design. Research interests are in visualization and design considerations for cross-cultural collaborative environments.

Susan Pedersen
spedersen@tamu.edu

Joined the educational technology faculty in 2000 after completing her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Texas at Austin. She teaches graduate level classes in instruction television, visual communication, and computer-assisted instruction. Her research focuses on the use of technology to bring innovative educational approaches, such as problem-based learning, learning through design, and writing for video to K-12 environments.

Teaches courses related to Microcomputer Applications for Educators, CA I, Computer Graphics, and Computer Utilization in Educational Research. Interests include Computer Applications in Education, Teaching/Learning Strategies, IntraNet/IntraNet management of instructional materials and student products (local and distance formats), Teacher preparation.
