GUIDELINES FOR THE PREPARATION OF DEGREE PLANS
A degree plan cannot be filed until you have received official notice of your full admission to a graduate program. It must be filed according to deadlines published by your college and no later than 90 days prior to the preliminary exam for doctoral student or the final exam for masters students. Currently, all degree plans must be typed on the official form which may be downloaded from the Office of Graduate Studies Forms Web site http://ogs.tamu.edu/OGS/currentForms.htm or from the download page listed above. This is the ONLY form that will be accepted by the Office of Graduate Studies. All coursework must be listed alpha-numerically (prefix & course number) on the form. All course titles must be entered exactly as currently presented in the university catalog or when they were actually taken if different. Master's degrees are to be listed as an MEd in Educational Technology and will consist of a minimum of 39 hours. Doctoral degrees are to be listed as a PhD in EPSY. Fill in the letter grades for any courses that have been completed. Do not lump official grades for courses that have been repeated.
Transcripts for all previous degrees and any transfer work must be on file with the Office of Graduate Admissions before filing your degree plan.
Directions for Filling Out the Form:
-
Type your name and department in the spaces provided.
-

-
If necessary, you may use two degree plan forms.
-
Remove the signature section from the first form.
Committee/Signatures
The chair, co-chairs (if applicable), all members of the advisory committee, the department head, and the student must sign on the appropriate lines at the bottom of the degree plan form. All names and departmental abbreviations must be indicated in the spaces provided.

• All students must set their examination dates with the agreement of all members of their committee.
