Department Head SearchWelcome to the Department of Educational Psychology at Texas A&M University!
The College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University invites applications for Head of the Department of Educational Psychology (EPSY). The Department of Educational Psychology is a vibrant, cutting-edge department that, as a result of university and college investment over the past four years, has recruited 18 new tenured and tenure-track faculty for a total of 55 full- and part-time faculty. EPSY has 293 graduate and 244 undergraduate students, 31% of whom are from historically underrepresented groups. The department has master's and doctoral graduate programs in Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, School Counseling, Special Education, Hispanic Bilingual Education and Learning Sciences (including Cognition, Creativity, Instruction and Development; Educational Technology; and Research, Measurement and Statistics). The departmental operating budget totals over $4.2 million in the 2007-2008 academic year, with additional extramural funding of $7.7 million. Texas A&M is a Research Extensive land-grant, sea-grant and space-grant institution committed to pre-eminence in teaching, research and service with an enrollment of approximately 45,000 students.
