Undergraduate Admissions

Undergraduate Admissions

Students interested in undergraduate programs within the Department of Educational Psychology are required to follow all department application procedures to ensure minimum requirements are met at the time of application.

Freshman

A freshman applying for admission into Texas A&M University must complete the ApplyTexas application through the Office Admissions.

Transfer

A transfer student applying for admission into an undergraduate program (i.e. Special Education, Bilingual Education or Non-certification Child Professional Services) within the Department of Educational Psychology must complete the ApplyTexas application through the Office of Admissions and meet the minimum department requirements:

  • Completed at least 24 hours of transferrable coursework with an overall gpa of at least 2.75
  • Completed MATH 141 and 142 (or their equivalents) (grade C or higher)
  • Completed two 4-hour lab sciences (grade C or higher)

In addition, students must comply with all Texas A&M admission requirements

Note: Applicants are reviewed by committee for each program (SPED, BIL, Non-certification Child Professional Services) and admitted on a competitive basis. Meeting the minimum requirements listed does not guarantee admission.
